  • McCone County Library Announces A New Group For Teens

McCone County Library is pleased to announce the new year of the Democracy Project.

The Democracy Project is a non-partisan organization that allows teens to interact with local community officials and advocate for a project that is important to them. Any student ages 13 and up is eligible to participate.

In previous years we have collected oral histories, redone the high school library, and created items to support positive mental health outcomes. The projects are always chosen by the teens participating in the group and there is a small stipend to fund this project.

This year we will be completing our project early in the year, to ensure we have time before school and life get crazy. If you have ideas about something you would like to change, improve, or protect, joining us early is key!

For more information about The Democracy Project, you can visit the Humanities Montana website or contact Mary at the library.

If you are interested in participating in the Democracy Project, please contact Mary at the library. You can also speak with any of last year’s members, and they would be happy to fill you in.

We'd love to hear from you!
