STEM Club will offer fun activities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics to children in grades K through 6. There will be two separate groups on separate days in the same week, one day for k-3 and one day for 4-6. Each slot will be capped at 10 children, so register early! Depending on the responses received, we may open up one additional time slot per group to accommodate a maximum of 40 children.
Once I have the bulk of the registrations in, I will consult with the school calendar, before choosing specific days for each month. Below is the full calendar of activities that we have planned. These activities are free of charge. This club is subsidized by a generous grant from The Bayer Fund and America’s Farmer’s Grow Communities. I do ask that each child bring a labeled paint shirt to leave at the library to keep their clothes from getting excessively dirty with paint, clay, and other items.
We also have need of a few items from the community that would normally go in your trash. If anyone has empty paper towel rolls, egg cartons, or newspapers we would greatly appreciate them! Please submit a reservation for each child that plans to attend. We are unable to accept walk in attendance as we need to ensure enough supplies are available for everyone registered to participate.
